With that much work into it, you have to have commercialized it.I actually designed a solution for that. Fits Taom and Predator. Has thick and thin spacers and a holder that has a hole [with a "plunger"] to get the whole contraption apart. Adjustable 3 magnet system to get the pull force just right. And caps for it all.
chalk holder also has a built in ball marker for use in a pinch.

ALL my cargo shorts are blue in the right front pocket. So there...When I’m at the hall and I have my own personal chalk, rather than mess up my pants pocket I’ll use the holder where the chalk hangs outside my pockets. At home the chalk is on the rail.
But Dan, as experienced as I am sure you are, I know you already knew that.

I've got 'em on Etsy. The pocket disc with integrate ball marker is actually selling more than the pocket clip. That one has 4 magnets total for a SUPER strong pull. 1 in the clip, 3 in the holder [but you can reduce the number of magnets if it's too strong]With that much work into it, you have to have commercialized it.
C'mon, tell us how to get one!
I have used quarters, but what I found worked better for me is carefully cutting the chalk holder down approximately halfway so it is not so tall.If you are a chalk “painter” and not a “borer”, you may find this useful, in particular for chalk like Taom, which might be shorter than a typical Masters cube.
As you can see, the Taom chalk is lower than the surface of the holder. Makes it hard to “paint” the edges of the tip.
Put a few quarters under the chalk to bring it up level with the holder.
And yes, my square holder adequately holds my V10 round chalk.
I realize that in the grand scheme of pool this hack is pretty benign, but maybe someone will find it useful.
