I used to pay very little attention to the many features and options available on this forum. Smorgasbored complained that I started threads and abandoned them. I jump in an out of the forum while I am working or playing on the Internet and I never learned the value of "User CP" until recently.
Now I am probably not going to really nail the description of what this feature does but I thought I would post this thread so that other amateur forum posters like myself will be able to better utilize the forum's features.
If you click on User CP and that stands for User Control Panel. duh....
Anyway when you click on that it will bring you to a screen that will show you threads that you are subscribed to and so you can click on these threads that you have participated in. My problem was I often forgot which threads I participated in and so I often just didn't continue posting to them. Now I will have to find another excuse.
You can also view your REP points and what the REP givers had to say about you and a particular thread that you participated in.
There are probably other important features of the User Control Panel that you may want to explore, but to keep up on the threads that you participated in, this is the way to go. If someone has a better idea, please let me know. I don't know how you "subscribe" to a thread except maybe by posting to it because I don't do anything in particular like checking off a box or anything else.
And I assume that you have to be registered to take advantage of this neat feature.
If someone cares to elaborate on how to "subscribe" to a thread without posting, please share it in this thread.
Thanks,
JoeyA
