Using Pivot Length to Estimate Squirt

PJ ,while I do think this is interesting, I do have to say that while I understand it (sorta of) from the RSB discussions (I think Ron had a lot to say about this?) I cannot imagine how anyone would be thinking/using this in competitive play.

Thinking and using are different things. We all adjust for squirt/swerve without thinking, letting our subconscious use "data" gathered and assimilated through practice and experience. I can't imagine thinking about/calculating this while playing, but I can imagine it being more data for my subconscious if I internalize it through practice.

...swerve might MORE than compensate.
...elevation will likely effect swerve significantly more than squirt.
Yes. For instance, when shooting a hard sidespin shot off the rail (hitting more downward than usual with follow), you often have to compensate your aim in the opposite direction - for "negative" squirt.
