I watched most of this, and was very impressed with how Shane grinded it out. He obviously does not like hand racked with a triangle formats. In this case, he overcame his annoyance and frustration, for the win! Nobody plays eight ball like SVB. The only commenters that came even close, were Albin and Freddie. Nobody else had a clue.
I have to agree with THE DOORS above... SVB's pattern play was far beyond the others. The other top pros mostly relied on trying to play perfect shape and it was very surprising watching the likes of Albin and others play position so poorly, well, poorly for them anyway.
The W8C may be the only biggin that another US player other than SVB has a chance to win, I'm thinking this because my assumption is that 8 ball is more popular and played more so in the US than anywhere else which stood out to me... I could wrong however, just a thought.
