What is a good size for a 6" by 12" table? Would be using it to hold inlay slabs. I have found a 1.2 cfm and a 2.5 cfm at Harbor Freight and wondering if one of them will do? the specs say 75 micron, 10 pascal max vacuum, Also, what is used for the gasket material, and where can I get it?
Here's the link.

Thanks.

Don't know much about them. I built my own vacuum table and just hook it to a shop vac for vacuum. Crude and loud but I only use it for putting V cuts in veneer stacks.

Dave it depends on the seal. If you have a table with a good seal then yes. Get your self a secondary tank like an air tank to convert to a vacume tank. I tig welded nipples on the tank and connected with valves and p[lastic lines. Let the pump draw a vacume on the tank and then unless you table leaks like crazy you should be fine. The bigger the pump the better off you are. A 6x12 table is pretty wide. I would make 2 chambers to get your 6x12 table. Valve both sides. If you have questions beyond this give me a call.
