...after she informed me I didn't need another cue!
(Apologies up front for lack of picture quality.)
A few weeks ago, I was eyeballing a custom cue from a local cue builder. Originally I was looking at ordering a 2013 OB wrapless until I saw this one. My loving wife gave me that, all too well known, 'Look of dis-approval'. She later came into contact with Adam (cuemaker) and he pulled her aside to inform her I was looking really hard at one of his cues in case a special occasion was coming up. Behind my back they discussed my Valentine's surprise. I was informed about a week ago though, because my wife wanted me to be the one to choose all the remaining aspects of the cue. The cue had actually been built about 2 years ago and left unfinished. I chose the stain for the handle, the shaft taper, tip, etc. Without further ado...
BTW, I LOVE MY WIFE!!!
After 2 coats of natural stain on the handle...Phenolic inlays, jatoba and tigerwood
After 4 coats of clear...(no polishing yet)
Final pics coming shortly...
