I’m in the Bahamas playing pool, my favorite bar has shit balls and even worse cue balls. What’s a decent cheap set of ball for a Valley bar box

The Dynasphere Bronze set is less than $120 from Seyberts, and probably a few other places too. You can add an Aramith magnetic cue for about another $30, so the whole set would run right about $150, and work just fine in a barbox..
These are top level balls in normal, and customary colors, and a cue that plays just as as good.

About the same price as Aramith Crown balls.

I completely agree with the Aramith Premium set for $200 at Seyberts. They sell the Premier's for about 30 dollars less. If you need a magnetic cue ball they have them for about 25 bucks.

If he's really cheap, Pearson balls are a great value. I don't know what the resin is, but they hold a shine FAR longer than polyester balls. I'm guessing that they may be epoxy resin? They aren't as good as a phenolic set, but they are an excellent in-between option. I've been running a trial at my local bar. It's a very active pool scene, with 4 tables. Regular tournaments, and league play. The balls have held up very well, over the past 8 months. I only polish them about once per month, at most. Yet, they still play well, and aren't marking up the cloth (like a typical polyester set).

For the cue ball, don't use anything less than an Aramith magnetic ball.

Aramith Crown balls are a phenolic resin. I haven’t heard anyone ever mention them. They’re the same price as Dynasphere bronze, I’d probably recommend them.
