Valley Table H*ll

Sounds like a young kid who hasn't learned to lose yet. Until you do that that you'll Never get to that next level of play.

Btw. Who cares if you lose at Apa. It's a handy cap league. Im a 9 and I see people getting all worked up about having to play me. I tell my team dont worry about your opponents skill level. If you play up to your handy Capp and they there's its gonna be a close match! That's the point of a handy Capp league.

It's tough to beat your own ego.... !!!

I'm not throwing "slanted" comments your way. You're acting high and mighty and I'm calling you on it. "No business beating (you)".. that's a laugh. So, any time you're 60/40 to beat somebody, you win 100% is what you're suggesting. That's just stupid. Play enough games and you'll lose to plenty of people that "shouldn't" beat you and you'll figure out that there's almost always a valid reason for it.

I'm a 7/9, not that it means jack, because I consider myself a B player. A 7/7 to me means that you're just starting to figure out how to really play. I said it before and I'll say it again, your ego's getting a bit far ahead of you.

Unless the person is a 2 or a 3, you'd better keep that "no business beating me" stuff in check, because it makes you sound like a jerk. The more you respond, the more you keep repeating it, though..

+1..............................

If I had to bet I'd say your position play beat you. Going from a 9 foot or even 8 foot to a BB is not as easy as it sounds. There are pros who don't handle it well. Playing two rail shape to get a foot closer to an object ball is foolish and can get a player into trouble.

That said, you got beat. It happens. You're going to get beat again by players who are better and worse than you, a lot.

If you really wanted to prove something to yourself, but most likely him, you should have tried to play him again on the short track. What would it have proved to beat a weaker player on a table he's uncomfortable on? A table you feel you have the nuts on? Nothing.

You've been given a lot of good advice from the previous posts. Live it down, learn from it and better yourself.

I have a friend who tells us we need to respect his ability.....luckily when he says dumb things he's joking

So, he proved he is better then you on the valley. You don't think so?

Play him some more and prove it. That is the way it should be done.

When one of my friends beats me I am happy for them.

Sometimes I even point out that they are about to make a mistake before they do it.

Why? They are my friends, I want them to do well.

For curiosity's sake can you tell me your speed in the A-D ranks? A 6 usually only ranks about a B-C speed so your probably no where near as good as you think you are. Unless you sandbag.

I would be careful saying you are good at pool on this site unless you actually are and have the credentials to back it up. There are many on this site that will eat you up and spit you out before they have their first coffee if you think you are better than you are.

I would also be careful how you respond from here on out as you are turning yourself into a really good mark.

I'm a 7 in 8 and 9...was an 8 for a while in 9ball...So I guess that would make me a B player? I've been a 7 in 8ball and 9ball for quite a long time....I know there are plenty of players that can eat me up....no problem admitting that. I also know I will lose to players who are not as good as me and those who are as good or better than me....everyone does at whatever level they're on.

Sour grapes

Sounds like sour grapes. Get over that spanking, them get over yourself. Apa 7 and you think you rule the world.

I will always laugh at people who think they are good at pool because they are at or close to a 7 in the APA.

There are many levels of 7 and according to one of your first posts you are not a 7 in 8ball unless you lied there as well.

That being said no one should give you the respect you 'feel you deserve' because in reality you probably don't deserve any and your game is probably much worse than you think it is.

Now if you had won in the national singles event as a 7 or 6 I might respect you a little more but I highly doubt you have ever placed in that especially if you are losing to someone who 'doesnt deserve your respect.'

Pool is a wide world and until you get some sort of title under your belt you are little more than just another player with an overinflated sense of ego.

I have a 9' at home with 4 1/2" pockets, I know when I play league on 7' Valleys I find it easy to pocket balls and my table is fast so the smaller size doesnt affect position play too much either, I dont mind playing on the bar boxes at all, seems like they have huge pockets.
