What is the difference between these two?
Price,quality,playability,pooket size.....etc
Can you still by either one?
Thanks

I'm interested to know where you found Valley/Dynamo to be a division of Brunswick.

Valley was briefly owned by Brunswick, bought around 2005 maybe?
But have since sold them. Remember the Brunswick Metro coin-ops? Brunswick looks, Valley playability, sadly.

here's some info

I was a little off on the year :)

As Valley Co., the original company was founded by Bill Rickett in 1947 in Bay City, Michigan, where it remained under the auspices of a series of controlling companies including Kidde Inc., U.S. Industries and Fenway Partners with Rickett still the majority shareholder. In 1999, then known as Valley Recreation Products, Valley absorbed and merged with both Tornado Table Sports and Dynamo Corp., and centralized operations at the Dynamo facilities in Richland Hills, Texas[1] (a Dallas-Ft. Worth suburb).

The increasingly market-dominant enterprise was bought for US$34.5 million by, and was made a subsidiary of, Brunswick Corporation in 2003, as Valley-Dynamo LLC. Brunswick moved Valley-Dynamo's manufacturing operations to Reynosa, Mexico in 2006. In 2009, Valley-Dynamo "was acquired by a limited partnership controlled by Kelye Stites," owner of Champion Shuffleboard Ltd., "and other businesses in the Dallas/Fort Worth area."[1] The sale amount was not disclosed, but was rumored to be surprisingly low.[2] Stites, the son-in-law of Valley Co. founder Rickett, decided to move pool and air hockey table production from Mexico back to Texas.[3] Under the new partnership, in which Stites is the majority owner,[3] Valley-Dynamo absorbed Champion's shuffleboard brand rather than vice-versa, with Stites citing Valley-Dynamo's widespread brand name recognition.[2]

Are you saying that someone actually moved a manufacturing operatation FROM Mexico TO the US?????

Awesome!

thanks

Thanks for the replies.
So,if I was going to buy the best available Valley table,
should I buy a Cougar or a Non-cougar valley,and why ?

Thanks again
Mike L.

My Valley 7 footer comes from being used at the NW Regional BCA tourney a few years ago, before they switched to Diamonds. It is a good table. Corner pockets are 4 1/2. Side pockets are a bit more snug than that. The play field of my Valley, between the cushions, is 40'' x 80''. It is level, sturdy and reliable.

I hear a lot of people complain about Valley tables. I guess in some parts of the country, Valley put out some odd sized, huge pocketed messes and are looked down upon because of it, which is valid. My table on the other hand is a good table that I got for a great price.

If you are looking for a 7 foot table, just make sure it is 40'' x 80'' between the cushions. I have heard of some strange sizes out there. The outside dimensions of my table are 92.5'' x 53''. Valley advertises them by the outside dimensions on their site I think. I believe mine is the Black Cat model93
