Hi all,

It will be hard, but i'll try.

Anyone who knows the value or more info of a ebony 8 point Hiolle cue with 2 shafts, straight, logo in perfect condition, cue in excellent overal condition (90-95%)


Also does anyone ever heard of a case called:
Canoa d'argent imperial case. 1920's also i think.

ive had some 4 point hiolle cue's in the past , but this is the first 8 point ive owned, and i'd like to get as much info on it as possible :D

I just love to buy old cue's, learn all about them and then sell them.

Hiolle cues

Hi, thanks for the link to a great site. My first cue was an old (pre WWII) Hiolle and its great to see all the unusual and interesting cues from that era.

I sold one like it, but much older, on ebay recently for about $425. Mine was rosewood, not ebony.

You mean a 8 point Hiolle for 425$ or what do you mean with similar?

I have sold several 4 points Hiolle's for 300-400$ (ship and handling included) depending on state and amount of shafts, but never a 8 point. being that the 8 points are VERY rare compared to the comon 4 pointers, 425$ seems really low.

Someone on ebay mentioned a antique shop in the states asking 2800-3200$, but he also states there are only 8 left in the world wich isnt true. i know of 5 cues located in europe, and i dont know the hole world :D... so not sure how right these prices are. i would say 1800$ but i'm really no expert in pricing...

Yes, my cue was an 8-pointer. The $2,800-3200 you saw was a price listed in a book by Mark Stellinga, and I don't even want to go there :) But basically, if he owns something, it's worth zillions.

If you want to become a cue dealer then you will eventually be portrayed as the enemy. Better to trade for what you like than worry about making money. The collectors I know who worry about value/price are not realistic.
