You'll have to give a lot more info for an answer.
Length, weight, shaft diameter and straightness, dngs and dents,
does it have a weight bolt, et cetera.
D-series are great players and lots of folks still look for them, me included.
That looks like it has the originalk nylon wrap, which most folks don't like but
it's easy to change. I've come to like the nylon wrap on my E-series McD, which is every bit the player as the D-series.
I don't think those nylon wraps ever wear out.
If you don't need money, I'd keep it and play the hell out of it, you'll be hard pressed tofind a better player anywhere
for any amount of money. I only play with wood shafts so carbon fiber is not in my thinking.
All of this is just my opinion and you'll surely get more opinions on D-series McD's.
Are you intending to sell it?

I have a D-10 completely restored and upgraded leather grip, two shafts I'd think about selling that for 500 maybe a little less.

Just my .02. Restored it’s worth about $425 on the top side. As is maybe $325.

D-series cues are good cues but not heavily sought nowadays. Most of us that want one probably already have one.

Hey, no i want to buy it but the seller wont Delivery and i wont Drive 1000km.
I have a d-10 with Nylon Wrap and IT IS great!

I sold a close to mint condition D-9 at auction in 2019 for $310. It was all original, nylon wrap. My best estimate today would be $300 to $400 range. I know that people say that the D series played great and maybe they do - but I have handled two McDermott D series cues in mint condition and those two cues played JUST OK, and I am a McDermott fan, it can be hit or miss ( no pun intended) with how any cue series will play on an individual basis.

Woods can vary quite a bit in density, etc. depending on many factors, as well as mass production quality controls over longer time periods of production. I would go with $300 to $400 today.

I have a D-11, I inherited after my dad passed away... my mom wanted me to have his cues and table. We played leagues and tournaments together for about 20years. The D-11 is a great cue.

200 max. dont jump on me but i bet i am closer to what you can get unless you are lucky and find just the right buyer.
You might be right, I just sold a Predator Road cue this weekend that was completely redone for 415.... thought it would go for more than that.

Yes! My thoughts as well. It looks like it could use a restore. The blue book on the McD site is about right in this case, even though it’s outdated. I have a D-2 that I bought new and really love it. It was my only cue for years. They are as tough as nails!

I bought a D-9 4 months ago. I had to replace the cracked butt joint around the pin. Also replaced the ferrule because it separated from the wood like a lot of the old mcdermott cues do. I put irish linen wrap on too.

It rolls straight and the condition is similar to yours from what I can see. All said and done I am in it for $275.

I think that I am on the high side but close to in line.

As far as the hit, the D series and older hit great. I will tell you that the cues if own all hit a little different. It seems that higher model number the better it feels to me. Just my opinion.

The cue pictured in straight, good condition would be worth $125-$200 depending on the market. My opinion, Good luck...
