Is it just me, or predator is crazy for asking $5k for this new cue?
I mean predator brand is viewed as production cues and not custom. But still the design/artwork is not the best looking IMO.

In motorcycles there's a saying, "Chrome won't get you home." This cue has a lot of flash but I'm guessing it plays no better or worse than their other offerings. Past a certain point cue designs and inlays and such are just jewelry. I'm not the target demographic for this kind of cue, and you may not be either, but that's OK. For someone out there this is a dream cue.

$5K for a Chinese cue that might have passed through a dozen hands during its construction?
I'll pass.

I'm pretty sure that for $5k you can get a much higher quality made-to-order custom design from several well known cue makers.

As for the pictured Predators, their older Ikon4 line up looks WAYYY better for far less $$.

The issue with ordering from a maker is if you'll get the cue lol. Having said that though.....$5k? WTF.

Agreed, some cue makers have issues making their estimated delivery times. I waited about 9 months to get the 2005 Gilbert cue in my sig, but at the price he charged me and the product delivered, I can easily say that I'll never get another deal like that again.

If you want to make sure you get a commissioned cue in a timely manner, I recommend going with those who are active in social media because they can post images of the cue as it is being made. Some include Shelby Williams in on FB, and Studiotronics on youtube.

I like Predator overall and currently play with a full Predator setup but these are both ugly and ridiculously priced.

I’d be fine paying $2-2.5k for another one of their collaboration runs with Jacoby, those are nice cues. When I saw the teaser they were releasing something that’s what I was hoping for. But to come in at 2x the price with these designs and assumedly import construction….just crazy.

Predator makes a fine product. I have a K Series Classic player, BK Rush, and Air Rush. They’re all dead straight and play great, zero complaints. While my K Series Classic is also an import cue it at least has nice sharp points, classic looks, and ran me about $500 for the butt ($1k w/Revo). In that range and even up through the Throne series, they’re good quality production cues for the money, but these are about 2x as expensive as they should be and even if they were a reasonable(ish) price….they'd still be ugly designs.

Plenty of cues run well past $5k, but in all honesty, I'd be scared to play with one since any accident or drunken stumble can ruin the investment.
