Anyone still playing with a Vantage shaft ? I'm looking for a shaft that maintains accuracy with speed and long distance. Plentiful energy transfer.

If stick is straight and tip properly maintained, accuracy is on you. I use carbon fiber, and energy transfer is plentiful.

I play with Vantage shafts on my Joss/Schons. Tried a Revo 12.9 for about 6 months, couldn't get used to it, went back to Vantage.
I played over 30 years with standard maples before Vantage, I shoot better with it now. Ultra low deflection, lotsa power, accurate, etc.
Just understand that it has a slight conical taper that you have to get used to, but it's a great shaft, just ask Carlo Biado or Thomas Hohmann, or about half the Filipino players lol. I play at a shortstop level btw.

Neither of those, the best shaft for low deflection and easier cueball speed is the Revo. To the point that I can't really use a Revo on 7 footers, the bit of extra zoom it puts on my stroke is not good for smaller tables. I find it easier to just use another shaft than to change up my stroke to snail level.

You need to learn to play with the full range of your stroke from soft to hard. And learning to play softer is way more important in pool.

Does it have the same taper as the cynergy? I use an open bridge and I’m thinking I’d like a gradual rise better.

Yes I know how to adjust speeds, I just don't want to do it if I don't have to. And don't play on 7 footers enough to practice it. Much easier to just use a different shaft since I have like half a dozen I can play with decently enough, and it keeps me from over-running position on the fast 7 footers. If I was a pro that played 6 hours a day on different tables, I am pretty sure I would use the same shaft all the time. With playing on 7 footers a few times a month at most, I am going with the thing that works best.
