veneered house cues

I stopped in a pool room in the Valencia area, I think, in LA county, CA a couple years ago, and they had house cues (one piece) with either 2 or 3 veneers (!).
I had seen these same cues in one of the pool mags in a "New Products" section a few years ago. They looked to me like they would make the basis for nice Sneaky Petes, but I cannot find either the pool room I stopped in (just off I-5) or the source of the cues. Can anyone here help? No one in the Cuemaker section had any idea.

Thanks, Robin

I could swear I saw cues like that for sale some time in the last three or four years. I can't for the life of me remember where though. A Google search gets your posts about it, then nothing else productive. If you can find the pool hall, you should be able to find the manufacturer.

Thanks for the response. This pool hall is just off an exit from I-5 N , I think somewhere in LA county, CA. I just can't find the exit, and I live hundreds of miles away.

Edit...Come on LA guys. This room is just off northbound I-5. How many can there be? Any help would be great.

The trouble is I'm from hundreds of miles away and I wouldn't recognize the name of the place or the turnoff if I saw it. I was just passing through and needed gas. I saw the "Billiards" sign (or whatever it said) so after I got gas naturally I went in. It was in the afternoon and the place was empty. I recall very fast cloth, posters for league play (I think) and a house man with a European accent.

Thanks, Robin

Edit.....It may be north of LA county, I'm not sure. But South of the steep hill up the Grapevine for sure.
They had one-piece house cues with I believe two veneers... definitely good Sneaky Pete material. That's what I'm after: those cues.
