Vertical line on carbon fiber shaft

The Mezz Ignite I ordered finally arrived with the outer box looking like Fedex stomped on it. The inner box with the shaft was a bit damaged through all the bubble wrap, but the shaft itself looked OK. Upon closer examination, I noticed a faint line running straight up and down the shaft. Is that normal and part of the process to make carbon fiber shafts?

I haven’t seen an Ignite shaft up close but most brands do have a similar line.

My Ignite shaft has that same line. Its just the seam from manufacturing those carbon tubes and sometimes is still visible when completed. Should be smooth though. That's what I would be more concerned with. You should be gtg though. Enjoy.

I have seen this same line on a couple of CF shafts over the last couple of years. Not many, but more than a few. I don't remember what make(s) they were. I don't know what causes that line but you're not alone.

It is due to roll wrap process, it is a layer joint line, you will never see that on Revo and Cynergy because they don't use this process.
