This is a very early ivory joint Josswest cue. I sent this cue to Bill Stroud and he gave me quite a bit of information on the cue. He only built (3) of these because of the thick gold veneer material was out of stock. He said it was a great looking cue. IT IS NOT A "CATALOG" CUE SO YOU WONT SEE ANOTHER ONE LIKE IT.
All white including joint, ferrules and inlays are ivory. The buttcap is not ivory IMO, but it is marked JW with the sideways W. The points are razor sharp. Shafts are straight and full 13mm. Josswest specifications - Butt 15.912, Shaft 1 - 13.08mm 3.837 oz, Shaft 2 - 13.07mm - 3.816 oz One shaft has light play and the other is unplayed since refinish. Guys a few years ago this was easily a $4000 cue. I am selling to help finance another cue purchase. I have had the cue about 10 years or so, and I intended on keeping it forever. It is really that good. No trades. I want $2000 after shipping and insurance or whatever.
