I am not as you may believe, My name is Robert Edwards and that ebay listing is mine. Im sure Joe doesnt mean to jump to conclusions or be tagged as a labeler so before passing judgement on me or anyone for that matter i think its best to get the facts. I also have stated the cue as being a merry widow in the ads, It is a conversion cue for sale not a merrywidow. here are the facts as i know them.
1. I purchased a pair of cues in an instroke case from a individual that needed cash. I was told by him that he was the original owner of the cues and that both cues were made by the same person.
2. That persons logo was on the fancy cue but not the other, That logo is Ed Prewitt.
3. I have played with both cues and both shoot lights out with a similar"feel" to them. The kind of feel you cant describe but can easily identify when its there,if you play you know what i mean.
I have auctioned the first cue and have sold it to a local collector/dealer and his contact #562-205-6278. I an auctioniong the other conversion cue as i type. The auction is listed as Ed Prewitt Merry Widow. That is what I was told and I have no reason to believe otherwise. If anyone reading this thread can either confirm or deny this cue as a product from Ed Prewitt Please let me know. I would never knowingly use the name of any of our great cuebuilders just to sell a cue.. I have much more respect than that for the game the great artisians that make american cues. Thank You All for your functional works of art.
Ed if you can identify this conversion as one of yours please let me know. and if it is not I will immediatly remove your name from the listing and extend a sincere apology to you and all of us that love this game.

FYI - Ed did sign his early cues under the bumper with a simple hand written "EP".

The simple thing for the seller to do here is take the cue to Ed's shop and have him authenticate the cue.

If it is truly an EP cue, which I do believe it to be, it would be worth more money once authenticated.
