VF Hatch vs Souquet

One loss side semi finals

Hatch won the lag & pocketed 2 balls. Nothing is tied up on the table...
 
Ralf pocketed a ball but there's not a good spread on the balls. Nothing tied up too bad, just everything is tight in the middle of the table.
 
Ralf left himself long, rattled the ball & missed. Hatch has 2 balls tied up that he should be able to break out.
 
Like Putnam, Hatch is fun to watch... he's got an engaging personality.... last night he ran over to his g/f before a shot, gave her a kiss, got down on the ball and said to her "baby if I make it, I win. If I miss it, I lose". (in his match with Corey, which he won)

LOL, on Corey's next shot Frank the tournament director walked over and puckered his lips asking if he needed a kiss before he shot his next ball. :p
 
Hatch ran out for the win, just broke and pocketed a ball. A stripe & solid are tied on the end rail but everything else is open.

Ralf just scratched on the break and nothing is tied up... Hatch is on his game right now and should get out from here.
 
Hatch scratched on the break.... Ralf is looking over the pattern he wants to play....he should be able to get out from here
 
Ralf pocketed a ball on the break but it wasn't a great break. The balls are tight up towards the spot... Ralf is needling his way through it
 
He pocketed the ball but now he's out of line.... just made a nice backwards cut into the corner pocket but is still out of line..
 
Hatch pocketed a ball on the break... a solid is tied up on the end rail and there's one frozen to the 8 ball up at the spot
 
Hatch opted for the stripes.... he's not breaking out the 8 ball so it must go past the ball that's on it
 
Hatch got out of line, had a rail cut shot, pocketed the ball but scratched in the side pocket.
 
Anyone thats seen Ralf shoot (esp at the DCC finals this yr) knows you can't let him to the table with bih and in the rare cases that Ralf makes a mistake & lets you up to the table, you have to capitalize on it.

Putnam didn't capitalize on the mistakes and Hatch has let Ralf get to the table with bih... it went from 4-0 to 4-3 in a short period of time.
