VF proposition shot

I saw the proposition shot in the other thread. Someone mentioned hitting the point first and kicking the 8ball into the corner. That shot certainly works, but FOR ME the most reliable way to get positon on the 9ball is to shoot straight up the rail with straight bottom English. No side spin. Here is the shot:

Hi Hal:

I remember the OB is a bit more into the pockt which makes it hard. Corey made it in two tries, with an extreme draw. Here is a picture

I've placed it as far back as I can get it. My pockets are not as deep as a Diamond table.
