I paid $15 for a Viking shaft in the late 70’s
$15 in the 70"s are $100+ today..
The work involved making a wood shaft is more labour intensive than people think. The cue maker also has to factor in rejects, usually about 30% but it can be higher depending on the cue makers QC.
