Well everyone, I know its not a big deal but tonight my BCA Stanislaus team took first place in our division. I know I'm a new member and some of you are probably gonna laugh that I'm so happy, but this is a big accomplishment for us. The last four years the league has been dominated by one team, and it's almost depressing when it comes award time. At the end of August we got a team together, and gave it every bit of our all, and it paid off. A nice trophy and $500 to split between us was the winnings, and the sheer pride of knocking the title holders to second place alone would have been enough. 90 percent of my friends and family hate pool, so this is really the only place I could share my joy with, otherwise I get crooked looks and shrugs.
