Video: 1993 US Open 9-ball 2 semis + exciting final. Earl; Sigel; Archer; Tony Ellin (R.I.P. Tony)

I just analog-digital converted and Youtubed my VHS recordings of the 3 broadcasts shown 23 years ago. Video length of the 3 matches is 2 hours, 9 mins. Two great semis and the exciting final from this 1993 US Open 9-ball championship. Excellent commentary by Allen Hopkins:

Enjoy.

thanks for uploading these. Even though it was a little before my time, every older match I've watched of Earl, Johnny, Sigel, and Hall during their primes, they just didn't miss, period. It's hard to imagine the top players from today being able to touch those guys. I know the equipment is different, etc...but from all accounts by people that watched that era, they all say the same thing, that these guys just never missed.

I cannot thank you enough, I love these matches. I am watching the McCready/Reyes/Strickland one right now.

Something I see in these 80's/early 90's matches that is missing today is a sense of urgency. Especially in that early Strickland/Archer match, it's like watching two lions going at each other. Utterly fearless.
