Video 1994 pro tour Vegas 9-ball chmpshp Earl-Efren-Breedlove-Vickery.2 semis + final

I just finished watching this video. 3 things:

1. Thank you very much for posting this video Arturo

2. Earl could steamroll with the best of the them

3. I was impressed by the enthusiasm of the crowd. Outside of the Mosconi Cup it seems like there aren't very many fans in attendance or they don't care. The fans in the finals of this video were really into it

As an historic first live telecast of the final matches of a major tournament the spectators at this event were given a short pre-performance, perfectly appropriate recommendation that they don't hesitate to enthusiastically voice their support of the players and all the skillful shot executions throughout all three matches.

It would be remiss for any TV producer not to have done so -- particularly with a relatively new product (live pool telecasting) hoping for wide general public viewership and what those viewership figures might promise for tween-segment commercials insertions. And so, it's a common practice to pump up audiences beforehand ever since the early days of radio and continuing up to the present days of television audiences. Pool is a special case in one aspect -- the need to mention to in-person audiences quiet respect for the players' concentration while they are executing their shots. Same as they would for a pro golfer.

The Pinoy vs. USA component also was a factor in the high level of audience enthusiasm, similar to the appropriately nationalistic enthusiasm with all Mosconi Cup matches each year.
