I forget the exact ratio, it has been discussed on here a lot, but take 90+% IPA and you put X tablespoons of Aramith ball cleaner in it.
---------------Worked in the same pool hall for 20 years. We always used rubbing alcohol in the ball polisher.
I bought one of these several years ago and it has been outstanding. I use a mix of 2 tablespoons of aramith cleaner to 1 cup of isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle and spritz each ball as the cycle starts. I run it typically 5 minutes.. Leather pocket marks vanish as does chalk, fingerprints and most every other spot. I have 22 different sets and trade them out weekly. EVERY set looks and plays like i just brought it home from the store today. I just couldn't be...The CleanGleem works great. Fast, safe, quiet and won't break the bank. Hand crafted in the USA.

Aramith is the leading cleaner, made and recommended by the company that makes most of the quality ball sets. Said to contain minimal wax. Other cleaners, such as automotive polishes, generally contain mainly wax and silicon - you get a short lived, slippery high polish, not the best for consistent, normally playing balls or for the cloth on your table. Clean Gleem was the first to recommend a 1 tablespoon mixture Aramith shaken up with 1 cup alcohol in a spray bottle. Mist the mixture over your balls in a running machine for a very easy, economical cleaning leaving a like new gleam and consistent, normally playing balls.

Dr. Dave did a video where he cleaned the balls with different cleaners, then he showed how the throw changed depending on what cleaner he used:Not sure I understand all this, but I use hand sanitizer to clean the balls. Only few drops for each ball.
Seems to work fine. Am I missing something?
After that video, I stopped using isopropyl alcohol to clean my ballset (they get too clean which creates more throw), and I started using Aramith Ball Cleaner. However, when you are getting ready to play in a tournament make sure you warm up with a ballset that is...

Any suggestions on how to prevent these spots from coming back? I’ve cleaned them with Armamith Restorer and ball cleaner, but they keep coming back. I have tried by hand and with a machine. The marks are cloudy white
- I only strike the cue ball with the cue tip (Taom green)
- Valley with new 860HR and new felt lined pocket liners. Ball track is lined with thin EVA foam. Had marks before lining tracks.
Can the marks be caused by collision with the other balls or friction burns on the cloth?

I quickly learned to only polish once, and dilute the Aramith polish about 20% with alcohol, then only use about 2 drops per 8 balls per cycle. I polish the balls I use at home about every two weeks, they look like new, play like new, have no wax build up, and have no collision marks now.
Others on here use a much more diluted solution of Aramith, but spray it on and have good results, so are probably ending up with the same amount of solution on the balls.
