I have one of those twister tip masse things (well two actually 
). Certain shots are pretty much impossible to play with it, like long masses, because if you hit it hard you can't get any spin. The reason I like it is because you have to hit it soft which means I can stop myself from slamming the tip into the slate after contact, something I can't normally do.
