Viking Cue.......

Nice deal on a brand new American made cue.

Your sale causes me to reflect:

Viking is quite the story having basically died off and gone away only to be rescued. I find the story inspiring.

They have an import line to remain competitive in the lower end of their product line, similar to what McDermott has done.

Some like Schon and Joss have never had to do that, perhaps they have been fortunate to survive on their excellent reputations.

The import competition is so strong, it's good to see the US end of the market still surviving and they are still innovating as well.

Due to prevailing political changes perhaps we will see some economic changes that will help keep businesses like Viking strong. So often we are concerned with custom cues around here and we almost ignore the lines offered by US production cue companies like Viking. When people talk about production cues it's usually about makers like Predator.

I don't want to just sit and wave the flag but your sale did cause me to reflect.

To me, the comeback story of Viking is a story of hope and represents the resilience of America, American workers, American products, and American companies.

Viking came back and seems to have done so while maintaining their product identity. They didn't lose who they were to those of us that knew them for so long.

That's a Viking cue and you can tell from a mile away. And that's a good thing.

Somebody will likely get a nice Christmas present.
