Viking Cue

A friend at the American Legion has a viking cue his daughter gave him some years ago. It isn't warped but it appears to have what I will call A blister on the side of the shaft. Needless to say he does not have a receipt for when his daughter purchased it. Is this something that can be turned out on a lath or would that expose the grain to be a rough spot on the shaft, or is he better off just replacing the shaft or cue ?
Thanks
Tom

Most things can be fixed. That being said I think I would contact Viking first and see if it's something that would be covered under their warranty before I farmed it out to an outside repair person.

a picture would also be of great help in answering your question.

Will ry again at a picture , but not sure it will show up to well. Have reached out to Viking but haven't heard back and since he doesn't have the receipt when his daughter purchased it for him not sure they will honor their warranty.
