Viking Cues

Ehhh

Hello, I've been looking to get a nice, cheap starting cue (~$150) and Viking seems to fit the bill best (well known brand, good customer support, cheap). Other brands I considered are Lucasi, McDermott and Joss. The low end McDermotts and Joss are a bit more expensive than the low end Vikings though. I can't quite come to a decision.

I don't know of any billiard stores around my area so I can't test cues out (otherwise I would). I would like something with relatively low deflection, a firm (but not too stiff) hit and good english when I need it.

Just wondering if anyone has had experience with Vikings and how they compare with other production cues. I'll probably be buying the cue online so if anyone has any opinions on www.billiardwarehouse.com your comments on that would be greatly appreciated as well.

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Viking usually makes a nice stiff hitting cue. I think you'll be happy with the play and feel of their low end cues. Some of them even look pretty nice as well :)

One of my cues is an old Viking. They used to be pretty nice cues. I'm not sure how they are now, but I'd say they're probably still a pretty good choice.
