This is my 1st post so 1st let me say hi to everyone my name is Jim and I am originally from Northern Ohio but I now live in Columbus. I have been lurking for a while and finally decided to post. I play with a Schon cue and used to play league but haven't in a few years. Now that i am retired I may get back into a league.
This weekend me and some friends whent to cornfed red's for a 1500 added viking tour event. We got there at about 11:30 am and we were happy to find that they had all the tables open with the tour balls out and free practice for everyone before the event which was supposed to start at 1pm. At about 1:30 they finally started the event, the delay was partly because of the weather so it wasn't to bad and everyone understood. At that time one of my friends asked how many were in the event and Janis said 24. My friend was thinking of pulling out because as he said "there aint no way they are gonna ad the 1500 with only 24 players but when we asked the td, Mike Janis said that at all Viking Tour events the added money was guaranteed even if only 1 players shows up and that is what they did. They added the whole 1500 with only 24 players in the event. Unfortunately all of us lost our 1st 2 matches but all in all it was fun and I am looking forward to more tournaments and meeting some people from azbilliards now that I am retired.
