I've aquired an older Viking cue with a 3/8 pin. Hoping someone can help with age of cue and approximate value. I plan sending it to Viking to have a shaft made and valued, but wanted to run it by all the knowledge base here. The shaft i got with it is broken. Thanks in advance.

80's I am guessing? I don't know the model.

Probably make a nice shooter.

You have the original shaft with the ring work? The rings can be salvaged most likely.

Why not contact Ryan (ratcues)? He could do that cue up nice for you.

Value? Not a lot I think. Like any such shooter between $100 and $200, without a shaft then consider it probably at the lowest end of that or less.

I would think it's worth putting a shaft on though.

Original shaft is broken at both ends..Bummer.. Thanks for the input.

I had a original 314 shaft with 3/8-10 drilling, and bought a Viking on Ebay, butt only, 3/8-10.
The combo matched up perfectly.
I think you can or could order cues from Viking with a 3/8-10 pin.
There has been some discussion here on AZ about it in the past.

i have a viking plain jane with a 3/8x10 pin. its from the mid 70's and strait as an arrow. very nice shooting cue.

My first cue was a Viking with a 3/8x10 pin. I think that 92, 14th bday present. Had it for years and sold it, foolishly.

Viking had numerous joint options. Still does as far as I know.

I would love to get an old one with a Superjoint....
