I know the cue elite out there will scoff at this cue, but old Meucci's are kind of like porn, we've all looked at it but just don't tell everyone. This cue is in all original condition and plays great. The butt and the shafts have a tiny bit of roll out, but the cue is amazingly straight for its age. This cue is from a bygone era when people were selling there Szams to buy Meucci's. I have always been skeptical about the stories of great playing Meucci cues but I get it after hitting with this one. Cue weighs 19.4 oz and the shafts are 13mm. I will ship in plain brown packaging to conceal contents for the first 475.00

Pathman, I have to be honest and admit that I was a Meucci junkie for a long time. I even started out by collecting Meuccis..had all the Rempes, some DHs, Hubbarts, SEs, Quazar, Piano cue..many, many more. Still have my first "real" cue (depending on your interpretation of real), a Meucci M07 from 1976 or so. I sent it back to Meucci several years ago for refurbishing and simply put it away. The old Meuccis did not play ANYTHING like the newer Meucci cues, IMHO. They really seemed to play very well....but then again, I really didn't have all that much to judge any other cues by.

Anyways, that is a really nice example of a JR5.

I had an old Muecci from the '70s that I thought played pretty good....that was the only one I ever shot with so I really don't have anything to compare it to as far as newer Muecci's go...

I agree, I never thought of any Meucci as collectable, but there seems to be some interest in the older cues as of late. Guess there is no accounting for some peoples taste.

what realy pi**ed me off about Meucci cues was when I had the Buddy Hall refinished a few months later Buddy signed it. Then I put it in a dealers case and left it in my darkroom. Temp and humidity control,,,,,,,then one day I pull the case out to get another cue out and the plastic around the joint collars had split on both shafts. Hardly even hit a ball with the cue, What a bummer.

Someone would love this cue, however I dont think I can get much for it in that condition. Quality control at the factory sux. I may be wrong and the material suck, Doesnt matter much anymore, but something at the factory sux.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,lol
