In an effort to gain more participants in the Viking Tour from the state of Virginia the Viking Tour will be offering a 1 time special promotion to all non-pro residents of Virginia at our events in Greensboro, NC.

For all players that played in any of the Viking Tour events that are on the Viking Tour Calendar since December of 2006. Your Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour cards are still valid. See event calendar list here: http://www.vikingcue.com/pages/9ball/tour.html

That would be great. I put the info on the new flyers for the event.

Believe it or not we have only had 3 players from VA play on the Viking Tour since December 2006.

Also, please remind all the players in your area that participated in the last Viking Tour event at Shooters that their Viking Tour Card is still valid.

Hay Mike, Doug here from Va, I was told tonight that the tournament was this week end. Is that right? Quite a few guys were telling me they were going and they said it was on Bar Box. Do i need to tell them different? I will spread the word. If you email me a flier i will print it out and hand them out for you. Thanks in advance, Doug

I dont know if they have an event this weekend or not. You should call them to find out. ( SEE BELOW - Edited )

Unfortunately we are limited to what we can do with our promotions. Right now we are concentrationg on areas that do not have many Viking Tour events because these players do not get the same value from our tour cards as most others in our stronger regions.

At the same time as this being a promotion it is also a test to see if some time in the near future we can move all of our event to no tour cards.

In our last 2 tests in FL our events with no TC had 122 and 99 players. Our next tests our in the NC area for the VA players and in Oklahoma for the players there and the surrounding states.

At the same time we are doing these tests we are testing the entry fees. If you noticed our new ads have a $5 increase of which 100% of that goes into the players prize fund. Right now the market is volatile and we are hoping to make slow steady progress for the players, room owners and sponsors alike while trying at the same time to operate as a business facing rising costs and lower profit margins. Its pretty tricky.

In addition to doing all of the above we have extended our tour cards. All players that played since December 2006 and purchased a full tour card in either the Open or the Amateur division have had their cards extened so they do not need to buy a new one and can still participate in all of our event for their respective division through out the summer.
