Visied the Betmore annex today.

I went for my semi-non-regular 14.1 whooping today. The basement wasn't available, so we played at the Betmore annex (location undisclosed). I put up a better fight, but the food and company may have been better than my playing.

Tangentially, a big thanks to our (undisclosed) host! Very cool to donate some food and table time to me. I can always use both :)

Now I gotta go start practicing for next time. One of these trips I need to leave winner.

you have a good attitude about losing. personally, i hate losing weather it's a street race or a pool game even if there is no money at stake. not to make a comparison with you, but my brother is a "beautiful loser" and therefore he often loses. it's a personality thing i guess.

Well, the equipment was challenging to say the least. I'm a barbox 8-ball player, so 14.1 on a tight diamond 9' with polished balls is quite a switch. One of these days I'll get him though.

I'm not known to be a good loser, but I can appreciate being beaten.

Steev,
No problem mentioning the host (she lurks here frequently); I always appreciate the hospitality. Not many people scheduled for delivery in the next few days would cook dinner for a couple of degenerate pool players like us. In my book, Jeanette is the greatest (she has certainly been an inspiration and help to my pool game...too bad you didn't get to catch one of her Marine drill sergeant lessons).

Anyway, great match. If you played about 5 more minutes on that table you would be thumping me like a red headed step child - there's no substitute for pocketing ability (you have it, I don't.....quite yet....I'm getting closer...).

Come back anytime; the "Annex" is a great place to play.
