I always thought I just had blurred vision and a lack of mental focus
I used to have contacts but I never really felt they improved my vision that much....I had not worn them for more than 5 years.
I decided on a spur of the moment to go to the eye doctor and found out that I have a verticle astigmatism in my left eye and a diagonal astigmatism in my right eye....
Turns out that my blurred vision is actually "double" vision AND "blurred" vison. This was confirmed when I had lenses in front of me that made each eye 20/20.... The doctor asked me to read the letter on the screen and I saw a letter in the lower left corner and a letter in the upper right corner...
After a few turns of some knobs by the docter, I had vision like I have NEVER experienced before.....(modern techology is incredible)
I will spare you the long conversation I had with the doctor on what was going on with my eyes (for my entire life)
The question that the doctor asked me that struck a chord was "Do you have a hard time concentrating"?.......DING DING DING DING!!
The doctor explained that when your vision is blurry you have to work twice as hard mentally to maintian focus...You can't mentally focus because you can't physically focus...
The good new is that my eyes are correctable to 20/20...The bad news is I might not be able to use contacts...The doctor is ordering (as she puts it) a whole bunch of different trial lenses that she thinks may work....
I know that even if contacts get me to 20/20 I won't shoot like efren, the posiblitly is pretty exciting...and at worst I will actually be able to see a complete golf shot for the first time in my life....
I am hoping to find some merit in that comment of clear vision / better concentration (focus).
Any one have experience with this?????
EDIT: Now you know why my post are hardly ever proof read for spelling / grammar...I don't usually read any thing....I only skim read, unless I find something particularly interesting.
