Visiting Florida

Hi,

I'll fly to Florida on Friday, 12th.
I wanted to buy a cue and friends told me to look for a cuemaker instead of buying some "custom cue" .... ;)
Is there Any Cuemaker allowing me to visit him and to have a look at the cues (and perhaps just a little look on how they'er made)? I'll cruise almost all Florida, beginning with Jacksonville on Saturday, and ending in Miami, 30th. The rest of the route isn't planned yet.

Well if you get over to Navarre, FL stop by and check out Rick Howards cues. He's world renound for his MACE jump break cue and he builds beautiful hitting and looking custom cues. If you get all the way to Pensacola then stop by and talk to Mike Casey. He learned how to build cues from Rick and builds a hell of a cue. My Casey will be done in about 5 days and i'll put some pics up!

Florida

Well there are many cuemakers you can visit. You might want to call a few and see if you can set up an appointments. Check out Cue Makers in FLA and give a few of them a call.

If you are willing to order your cue after meeting with them you will have better luck than expecting a cue to be available. When you speak to them provide your budget. This way you will not be wasting your time or theirs.

Florida has so many great cuemakers that you should find someone willing to offer you assistance. Let us know how things turn out.

John Showman, Dennis Searing, Bobby Manzino, Chris Nitti, etc.... just a few personal recommendations.

Thank you the instant replys.
By looking at the really wounderful cues (thanks@SSach) I have to admit the my budget ist only up to 400-450$. So the nice designed cues with inlays are (at the moment, I'm just a "poor" student  ) out of reach. I prefer spending my money on a cue made by a person I meet and talk to then by machines almost automatically.
