I think the lack of publicity of the VNEA 25th anniversary had much to do with the coverage of the VNEA event. Other factors now make the once biggest tournament in Vegas a secondary event. It is a smoking event, and the event operators are living in the past and are stubborn to change for their image. They don’t know whats important peoples health. You can’t have fun when you can’t breath and your eyes are constantly burning. This brings any class of the event down to a “trailer park” level. For people who have been attending the event for many years this one was boring not worthy of the 25th year. The event does do many things better then the other tournaments but payout equality is not one of them. These factors as stated by many of the events participants this year are reasons for the coverage. Even with 100,000 league members annually they get half of what BCAPL gets to their event. VNEA is around 3,000 different players, where as BCAPL got around 6,500 different players. Image and reputation are main factors for lack of coverage. That why you hear more about BCAPL.
