Im not sure if this is the correct spot to ask but i thought i remember seeing somewhere that said you can legally only have 3 cues at a match. So to me thats a shooting cue, breaking and jump cue. Is there such a rule or did i miss read something before. Reason im asking is i have 2 jump cues and if its a 3 cue rule i will sell the specialty close distance one

Lol. Only in league will you find complete non players with so many cues, hell, they can't even use the shooting cue to begin with, break at 10 mph, and think scooping a ball is a jump shot. Why all the cues for these people? Yeah, I know, its good for the industry.

So whats the answer???? Im not talking about people who scoup the ball or break at 10mph im asking is there a 3 cue rule or no limit? Ive always had 3 cues but now found a cue where i can jump 1 chalk width away. Which my normal jumper cant do but then again this cue cant do controlled lower jumps which my current one can. So if allowed 4 cues i will keep for tge odd time i need to go straight up but if its a 3 cue rule i will stick with just the 1 jump cue

northshoremb,
Went to their website and they make no mention of it. Doesn't mean that a local operator doesn't drop this rule as part of their rule book.

Now be a good Canadian and get off playing on those dirty little bar boxes.

Jason,

The Joss Northeast Tour has a two cues to the table rule. Had to implement the rule as some players were bringing three or four to the table. Usually one was a very, very light cue to jump with as there are no jump cues allowed. If you give a quality player an inch, they'll take a foot!!

Looked at length at the VNEA rule book. Nowhere was I able to find a statement on either the number of cues allowed to the table or a physical description of a legal cue. Know there is a 40" minimum rule and a maximum weight rule in other leagues but nothing is stated in the VNEA rule book.

In golf there are 18 holes....and you’re allowed 14 clubs.
..so, following that math, in pool, with 6 holes, you should be allowed 4 cues....
...and an extra shaft....:)

For us dummies, please explain your math further. My calculator doesn't get it. Thanks!

Time to trade in that 1980s calculator from Texas Instruments...
..golf...18 holes...14 clubs
...pool...6 holes...4 cues...and change

did I mention this is my whimisical opinion?

League has been on 9 footers for tge 20 years ive been playing and i prefer but the Tourney in march is on 7 footers

Come on now...I was just pulling your leg...well kind of. VNEA is after all a barbox league and none of us should be playing on them.

I looked too. Only thing I could find was under Equipment: 40" minimum length, 15mm maximum tip diameter. No mention on number allowed.
