I just finished converting the last of the interviews from the original cassette tapes to .wav files on the computer. The quality of the audio ranges from “good” on some interviews to pretty poor on others. My goal is to make all of the interviews clear enough with filtering and editing so that you can hear everything the interviewee is saying. There is one small section of the Jimmy Moore interview (2.5 minutes out of the 28 minute interview) where it will be difficult to hear just what is being said. The interest value of the interviews varies tremendously. Three or four have almost no interest value, at least for me, whereas several interviews have some really interesting stuff and/or significant pieces of pool history. The Meucci interview goes over 30 minutes and has some neat stuff about his ideas on cue making, deflection, and other topics. Other interviews I thought were really worthwhile or at least had some valuable “nuggets” were the ones with Bill Stroud, Richie Florence, Ronnie Allen, Jimmy Moore, Mike Sigel, and Lou Butera. Give me a week for editing, filtering, normalizing, etc., and I’ll be ready to put them on a CD. If you want to know what the heck I am talking about, here’s the link for the thread that began this project: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=29126
