Vollmer 8 point fs/ft!! 3600$

Hello everybody,
Got this Vollmer 8 point first class ebony knife detailed points into first class grey stained Birdseye maple.Ebony butt sleeve, croc black leather.
Mint condition, 1 shaft 12.83mm 4.13 oz, slightly used in excellent condition, 1 new shaft from Michael 12.94mm 4.42oz! Test hit.
Both shafts lbm ferrules, moori iii medium tips installed by Michael upon request (he uses only le pro tips, got to have moori sent to him).
Piloted ss 5/16x14 with silver ring on black joint collars at a,b.
Joint: 21.29mm. Butt: 31.95mm 15.25oz. Balance: 19in
Cue hits phenomenal! Almost no deflection, not even squirt on the cb! Great energy! Second to none, compared only to the other ones constructed this way on this planet...
Too thin butt for me looking for 3000$ Obo western union/shipping included! Trade value 4.250k, thick butts piloted joints..

Yes. 3750$ everything included.
It may seem high to some friends here but it is fairly placed.
Ask around some experienced members they know his cues and what I'm talking about.
Second to none in playability, constructed in a way only him and one more guy in the planet can do..

I really don`t know the seller here, but i can tell u something about Michael Vollmer. He learnt to make his cues at Black Boar for a long time. His work and the playability is very simular. I think in our German First-League (and its full of very strong players) Vollmer is the most used cue. they are playing very accurate, with extrem low deflection and incredible power. His prices starts at 3200 Euro (4500 Dollars) for simple fullsplice 4 pointer. This 8-Pointer might be something arround 5500 Dollar when its new. Secondary Market i guess its arround 3500 in mint condition. So don`t wonder, try it and you`ll see.

The Question here for me is WHY ???

No Ivory at all, No Veeners, No Detailed Inlays........

No Disrespect to any of the German cuemakers but IMO this cue looks to be something the average beginning cuemaker could achieve very easy.

There have been only 2 people in the planet that have achieved this kind of construction until now. Vollmer charges around 5k fully prepaid with a 2 year waiting.
The other one for a cue like this ("no inlays"..) charges 12k, no prepayment, 8 months waiting. In fact if you won't buy the cue when it is done no problem, it is sold easily within 60 minutes max..
It is the superior construction and hit these cues provide.
And there are other top cuemakers that charge a lot for their players.
No inlays but there is something that brings up the value..

Of course, this price is not justified cause of any details inlays or what ever. People order his cues, because the playability and the perfect execution of the work. The used materials, especially the woods are all absolut high-grade. You will not find a small mistake in it. Michael Vollmer decided to take this prices for his work and his books are filled. Order and you`ll wait one and a half year. Did you ever asked, why anyone pays 10.000 Dollars for a Balabushka? Somebody thinks its worth.... Some like the history, some the Design, some the playability, some the perfect execution and others the big name of a cue. Its a matter of your personal priority. Thats it i think.

The price is the price and the market will determine if it is appropriate. I have never had the opportunity to play with a Vollmer cue but have heard nothing but great things about the maker and the execution of his cues. I could imagine a similar thread in a German pool forum if someone is asking 4k for a four point Showman cue. Just food for thought, good luck on your sale.

He told his price ...... you don't have to buy it if you don't like it ....... even when he asks 20k for it ... its up to him ... it's his Cue.
