Vollmer 8 point fs/ft

There is a lot to this cue in terms of construction. Built in the same fashion as Tony Sciannella's cues which means it takes forever to make. Maple core running up the whole cue with deep knife cut points. It is extremely laborious and time consuming. The hit of these cues compares with the best cues on the market. I have recently acquired a new Vollmer and the hit and playability compares with anything else in my collection. I won $600 with it tonight and I have only used it twice.

This is a serious cue and made for the discernible player who will know the difference. I have owned every top end cue both past and present (with the exception of a Harvey Martin) and most people know my collection of cues or know a little about it....let me tell you....Michael Vollmer is a class act that makes a top end cue and more importantly...makes one you can play with.

I want to thank in public my good friends Simon and Berny.
Thank you so much for providing valuable info and helping me in quite a number of times!
This is a top cue, fairly placed offer, anyway I would never post a cue in az asking too much because I'm not that kind of person and experienced members here know me and cues in general! So they know the value of Vollmer cues.
The one who gets it will not regret it!
Open to cash/trade offers!
Morning bump!

I have had two V Cues (Vollmer) that made the trip across the ocean to the states.
The first a Jet Black Plane Jane (thank you Berny my friend for letting this one come my but this one way was moved to another collection after receiving my next V Cue) and the second a 6-Pointer.
Both are exceptional work by a true master craftsman in cue making, great hit, and an overall exceptional value for the price I paid and for what this cue is being offerred.
If you never tried a Vollmer, you have to give them a chance.
I actually put my Black Boar into the safe to play with the 6-Pointer more often since the hit was close to that of a BB but with a better balance for my stroke.
The price posted is a bargain for those looking for something similar to a BB in construction.

Simon - have to agree with your comment:
"This is a serious cue and made for the discernible player who will know the difference."
The Vollmers have a European twist to the construction with slimmer butts, modified taper for stiffness, lively and low deflection shafts that are in my opinion some of the best out there.
But the BB's and Vollmer cues are not for everyone but are worth a try.

Just some quick thought and I wish I could try out this 8-pointer to compare to the other V cues.

Saturday night bump for a great cue!
Had some interesting offers, not the right one yet.
Bring out your Tascarellas!
Thanks,
Petros

I had the chance to shoot with this Vollmer cue the first day that Petros got it.
The cue hits great very low deflection just the way I like it :) it also moves the cue ball effortless either in follow or in draw shots.
I am not used on steel jointed cues but if I didn't knew that I was shooting with a steel joint I would never guess it, the cue had such a great feedback.
Good luck with the sale.

Willing to learn

What is it about V. cues that makes them hit so well? I understand that he worked and learned his craft with Black Boar but what is it specifically about his design that makes this cue play so great and justifies the premium price? It was mentioned previously in this tread that he is only one of two cuemakers in the world that can do this. My question is....what is "this". Anybody know what is involved in the construction of these V. cues? Thanks:D

Why wouldn't I be serious?

I'm definitely serious or I wouldn't have taken the time to ask the question. Was hoping with all the cuemaking knowledge out there that someone would just post an answer to my question. If nobody knows the answer I will surely give a call and get it from the source. Thanks for your post and the info you provided. Much apprecitated sir!

You're welcome Tony ....... it's always better to talk to the source ... even more when it's a pleasure to talk to a kind guy like Michael Vollmer.

Have a good time Dude.:)

This unique construction provides such a stable butt with great energy transfer to the hit.
Really advanced. These cues play second to none, I would never give it away if I hadn't played all my life with thick butts. This one will fit someone else even better and this is the idea, moving myself at the same time to my regular preferances. Just had to try. It is true that Vollmer cues stand among the best playing cues on the planet! This is actually a great offer here! People who really know cues here know what I mean, as they would if a simple 4 point Showman was offered. These experienced members are allways kindly responding when their opinion about a cue is asked. Vollmers are at the top rank and that is it. I rest my case..
Thanks,
Petros
