wanted info on Digital Cameras

Another good site to check out is www.photo.net They have a lot of good advice on taking pictures with different purposes in mind and they also have a lot of forums. I'm not sure if you'll find much good info on which camera to buy but you will find out how to take pictures with whichever camera you decide on.

For advice on cameras, I agree with everybody else on checking out dpreview. Their reviews of cameras are phenomenal and for they cameras they don't review the forums are a good guide. Another good digital camera review site is http://www.steves-digicams.com/ but personal I think dpreview offers more.

Runtboy is correct. The forums he mentions are also excellent.

After purchasing your digicam you will probably need storage media of at least 256 kbytes; and, rechargeable batteries and a charger.

The MAHA C204F recharger along with AA 2300 mAhr batteries are the way to go - if your digicam uses AA batteries.

that's not true! you can take very good pictures of cues with cheaper point and shoot models. it just depends on your price range.

jeff,

$600 bucks is about the limit. I am looking for a small-point and shoot digital cam. thanks for your help:)

One other thing I'd recommend is to look at the prices on www.adorama.com and www.bhphoto.com They are both very reputable sites. I've made purchases from both of them and haven't had a problem. They seem to be considerably cheaper than places like Best Buy, Ritz Camera and other well known retailers. This is just based on my experience, and is not meant as an attack on these other stores or as an ad for the places that I'm recommending.

If you wanto to buy used equipment then www.keh.com is the way to go. I've never used them but have had them recommended and seen only favorable stuff about them.

Since you have money to burn, please send me some. NOW! <(;^P

Sorry, no money to burn at all, hahaa..

It's just another hobby of mine (photography)

BUYDIG.COM is also an excellent place from which to mailorder digicams. I've done business with them.

i reported them to the BBB

BRUIN70:

What was the problem you had with BUYDIG?

There is a place online where you can check the seller's ratings and BUYDIG has had thousands of positive feedbacks with very few negatives. And that stands out among the other online sellers of photographic equipment who have only a few hundred feedbacks total.
