I owned a cue purchased from a friend who is Poolrod here and so I believe it was one of yours with a signature between the points and the railroad track shaft collar then a purple heart handle and points into probably maple I kind of forget as it was a long time ago that I had to pay a debt with it that I thought had a buy back option But I tried to buy back many times and it just wasn’t available for the amount I had which tripled my purchase price easily. But what do you do anyways it had a long tad style but I think delrin? Buttcap so maybe it was a broken butt fix it was a standard length and thin handle wood wood big pin and hit a ton but lost nothing in the touch department. Loved it. Need another one built or converted by you mr Pettit. Great hitting cue I ever hit and I hamb’s and some top tier sticks from the best known builders and my Purple Heart hitter was tops for me. Thx maybe I should contact my friend if he’s still around and I hope you’re doing well and if you ever need anything let me know and if I can help I will because I got the best years from pool out of that cue . No joking I loved it so thx and take care hope to hear from you or anyone with a Pettit for sale or trade.

I don't believe I ever made one with a delrin buttcap. If I did it would have been in the early 80's.
Btw a titleist conversion or any 211 club conversion would be an absolute dream cue. If I’m not mistaken you worked the counter at the 2nd and bell 211 club that my friends and I used to call the pool church. I miss places like that. Rail birds and clicking clacking murmured hushed voices the slam of occasional breaks and pocketed balls the smoky light through the cracks the shades didn’t cover all the way and the brushed and old gold crowns all laid out under the huge multi panel wood industrial sized windows and brick walls. The no nonsense pool so pure it really was a religious type thing for me and always will be and sir I think you may have even been there. If I have inaccurate information my apologies. Thx again

You are correct. Belltown was the second incarnation of the 211 Club. The first location was 211 Union. Building was torn down to build Benaroya Hall.

I have not been making many cues due to health issues. Rod has orders in that I have not been able to complete. We'll see what the future brings. I may be struck by lightening and come back to life. Take care. Roger

I fully understand and I hope I didn’t come across as asking you to actually make a cue for me. I’m sorry if I wasn’t clear I was mostly just dreaming and praising and letting traders and sellers know of my interest in your cues to buy. I was pretty well aware of the window on new cues being closed for all intents and purposes for most if not all. I don’t profess to actually know anything for certain other than I hope you know you have let nobody down by stepping back from cuemaking and I feel and am sure a great many others only wish you the best of health possible and in addition I meant my offer of help for who knows what but I’m here to ask and if I’m unable for any reason if just tell you so and maybe find another option if allowed. I find my life gets better when I do for others and I’m just a guy trying at a good life after a pretty rough time of it. Anyways I’m also not saying you are going around asking anyone for anything just to be clear this is all me doing my best to be happy and work and service are priorities and quite frankly I’m the one in that scenario and all opportunities to help a fellow man who should have gratitude and thanks because that’s really how that works in my view. sorry for the long winded response but I am trying to make sure we fully understand what this exchange is and has been to both parties. In my view I setup a login to primarily post my desire to see if any of your cues were up for trade or sale and then you respond to my total amazement and delight and I probably got a little excited and rambled on about stuff and reminisced s bit but I stand by it I just wish I was more deliberate and concise in my writing and I hoped to came off as a readable and easy to understand poster. Since I don’t know how much of that I am I am left wondering about possible misinterpretation or misspoken words. And that’s why I’m rehashing a simple offer to do maybe something you find too difficult currently to do without assistance of some kind and I do that for me because what I receive in giving directly effects my quality of life and I of course do it for you and your stated reasons or simply because I can and have been informed of such an opportunity. And a big one not usually there is because I have wanted to shake your hand or otherwise say thank you for doing what you do so well because it brought me a ton of joy and not a tiny bit of change for sure. So lastly to recap thank you for your time and open gentlemanly manner I got a huge kick out of it myself and I want you to know I in no way feel anything further on your end need be done with this thread unless you just felt like chiming in if the thread goes on for a bit. You are a class act and I only wish that your life going forward returns the kind of care to your days as your open considerate and honest exchange has shown me about your level of care given without hesitation I assume it’s who you are and that’s pretty cool so thx again and take care. My contact info is on here I think and I’ll check and fyi I’m in lk stevens if that means anything to anything. Take care, Phil

I appreciate your kind words and all the effort you put into writing them. Your first post looking for a cue came on my second day of posting on az. The buttcap on your barcue was Ivorine 3 not delrin. Just wanted to let you know you may never find one with delrin! I may show up someday at Players on a Saturday to meet you if you play in that tourney. Best wishes Roger

I could be a lightning Rod Roger, ha ha. I never rush a master, never.

On the off chance either isn’t already bought and paid if you are selling them or either let me know please. I’m Phil btw we probably met in Issaquah and I always enjoyed shooting with you and looking at the beautiful cues. I wish I didn’t have to give up the Pettit I thought I was going to get it back but I didn’t have much of a choice at the time. Crazy times back then. No more and I don’t miss it but I miss shooting so hopefully you will come across a Pettit or something like that hit and message me if you want. Thank you and hope all is well with you.

I bought one from Rod as well, I've had many cues, but that cue plays with the best of them. I have had it for several years, that shaft has never moved, straight as an arrow. I can't say that for several cues I purchased for twice the price, It was explained to me that he built it to Kersenbrock specs. I'm kicking myself for not buying the other one Rod had also, he gave me the choice between 2, anyway he builds on hell of a cue IMO!
