Im looking for a new break cue, something on the custom end, i like the Stingers made by Jerico CC's.

Has anyone ever broke with a stinger? I saw one partnered with a Bender, and it looked good. I wanna know if they break good also.

You can buy then on billiardwarehouse for $329.

What recommendations would anyone have as to a good break cue.. im a weak breaker, my break is really bad, so i would need something that breaks hard to compensate for my lack of coordination, give me some advice.

IF YOU ARE TRYING TO COMPENSATE FOR LACK OF COORDINATION, STAY AWAY FROM THE PHENOLIC TIPS. ANY SOLID CUE, WITH A NICE STIFF TAPER, AND A HARD LEATHER TIP SHOULD WORK WELL.

For a great break cue at a good price I would recommend a Fury. They break (and jump) very well, look nice, and can be found on ebay for 150 or less. I got mine from a no reserve auction for around 110 with shipping, its one of the best purchases I ever made.

I have to agree with Fast, if your mechanics are flawed and you dont consistently find the center of the cueball then one of the break cues we are talking about may do nothing but magnify your problems.

If you do get one dont make the mistake I see alot of people make and try to hit it even harder. The advantage of these cues is that you can swing the same speed (or even easier) but hit the balls as fast or faster than you were. So you should be able to increase the control you have on the cueball.

i dont have a hard break, my break is soft, thats the problem. I have excellent control over the cueball, and always have a nice spread, but i dont have alot of power. So thats why i want a harder tip.

Once I switched to a stinger I swore off all other jump break cues. My break is 3 times better then it ever was and it has made jumping a heck ofalot easier for me. PS I set my balls made on the break record with it 5 strips and 2 solids. you can just callme HE-MAN:cool:

BUMP

I sold my BK, and i have the money for the purchase.. Ive decided to get an Ebony one, so somebody let me know if they have one cheaper than $310 shipped.

Also if anybody can think of a better break cue for $300 let me know!

Finally got my new stinger in today! Cue is lovely, cant wait to test it out!

Thanks to user name "PIMP" aka Mike For the AWESOME transaction!
