The cues I've had and played were 19 oz or above. I didn't own many though.
So I was curious to try a lighter butt with a balance and hit I like.
For balance and hit a full length core was prepared for the planned 31" butt (in front used one of my favorite woods Pau Rosa for the hit into hard maple)
For the forearm and butt sleeve used flamed maple and some very old dark amazon rosewood for the handle. It was my first experience with this rosewood and it was a real pleasure to work with. I could not resist having it with some rings (all the more so it's not for sale but for myself

Got it as I wanted at almost 14 oz (natural weight) and together with my close to 4oz shaft it made slightly under 18 oz cue with a balance I wanted (20,5"). Feels really good for a 62" cue.
Now looking forward for a possibility to hit some balls finally so as we're having a regular quarantine again here...having some time experimented making some milk dud tips and installed one on my playing shaft to see how it works and if I like it. We'll see).
