Wanting to trade shafts...

A banger at best...

I have what I believe to be a Balabushka shaft...yeah I know...how can I verify? Well, I was told by a cuemaker how to verify it and it does indeed checkout. It is 29 inches long, has a LONG ivory ferrule, and fairly slim taper at around 12.4-12.5 range. The ferrule does have a small crack near the bottom...and I mean SMALL. Does not affect play whatsoever. Also, shaft has a small gash almost near the joint...again, does not affect play and maybe could be buffed out...I am unsure. Shaft is straight and man does it hit em GOOD! 5/16-14 joint, silver ring as well. I can take pictures if need be later this evening perhaps.

What I am looking for is a used Predator 314 that is 3/8-10 joint with the standard black ring.

Any takers?

Hey pal

I have a 3/8-10 Predator shaft for you (has a Moori Medium on it) but what I need is a 5/16-14 314 to replace it!

Let me put this on hold gentlemen...I am going to have Pete T. do a verification on this for me next week.

Thanks for your patience...

Well...the shaft is NOT a Bushka shaft. It cost me 100+ bucks to verify this with Pete counting the 40 bucks Fed-ex each way.

So anybody interested in the shaft? I don't know what kinda shaft it is. It has an 1.25" ivory ferrule on it. It has a small crack at the bottom of the ferrule, but is only about 1/8 inch long. Does not affect play at all. Shaft is around 12.5mm...very long taper and feels wonderful in your hand. 5/16-14 joint with single silver ring. It hits them dang good for such a thin taper.

Right now I have too much money in it considering I won't be playing with it as I will stick with my Predator on my Schon.

This is definately a PLAYERS shaft.

Looking for a used or new Predator or I-2, 3/8-10 for my Fry.

Any takers for swapping?

Really? Balabushka cues are 57.5" long standard with an approx. 10" taper, and the ferrule is usually only about 7/8" long. I am no expert but you should have it verified first.

Sorry Shorty, I read your first post and when I read that the shaft had a long 12" taper, with a long ferrule and was 29" long, I suspected that it was probably not a real Balabuska shaft. I did not read the rest of the posts.

But then may be the shaft was a real one with a ferrule changed and was sanded down. It is hard to tell so I suggested you to have it verified. An expert can tell from the spacing of the silver ring and the measurement of the joint collar and the brass insert to see if it was real. I was just trying to be helpful, that is all.

Anyway, I am glad you got that sorted out. :D

Good luck,

Richard
