Warm-up drills

Drills might be the wrong word, but I was wondering if anyone cared to share a few drills that are good for warming up. Now I just throw the balls and the table and run them off, but a bit more structure might be good.

One option

Spread six balls and take cue ball in hand with a pre-determined shot order. If you miss position, take the shot again. Other things could be shooting without touching a rail or the back of the pocket, spot shots, and center hit drills; but those could be a pain depending on your mood coming in.
What I would like to know is how to systematize my bank shot practice. Any ideas?

Progressive position play drills fit nicely into a warmup. Here's one:

Place an object ball at diamond one along either long rail about an inch off the rail. Place the cue ball at diamond two along the same rail so that pocketing the first ball is a dead straight shot. Try to pocket the ball and draw to leave the cue ball even with diamond two on the same long rail. Repeat it until you get it right. Then, set up the same shot again, but now try to pocket it and draw the cue ball to diamond three. repeat it unitl you get it right. And so on, and so on ....

This drill will help you get a "feel" for your speed control.

i just race to 7 or 9 vs "ghost" break take off 3 balls give myself ball in hand once i miss he wins. gets you in the mode to you cant miss or your done for that match. after i miss i try ti again knowing hes already beat me. if you run all 6 move to 7 then yo 8 so on and so fourth
