I just bought a new 314 2 shaft and rolled it on the table, and noticed a slight wobble in it. You can't see the wobble until you get pretty low to see the light under it when rolling it. For comparison sake, I took three other shafts that I have (all from major cue manufacturers), and notice that by heck, they all have a tiny bit of a wobble to all of them.
I went down to my local pool joint, and looked at the owner's shaft (no jokes here ), and rolled it on the table, and sure enough, it has a bit of a wobble too, but he can shoot the lights out with that same cue.
My question is, at what point do you return a shaft because it is not straight enough, and at what point do you keep it. It is probably straighter than my aim is, for sure, but still you want a straight shaft. I guess 100% straight is probably just about impossible, though.
any thoughts?
