Warped Predator Z Shafts

I special ordered a couple of Predator Z shafts for a couple (husband/wife) who are friends and good repeat customers of mine for their Meuccis. I received them on Friday, still nicely sealed in their plastic, etc. Gave them to them today.

I was very embarrassed!! When they opened them and we rolled them across the table, they were warped badly...( one VERY badly). I called Predator and sent them back out right away. Predator said they would make them good (as I am certain they will), but this was the first time in all the Predator cues I have had, bought, sold, ordered or anything else, that I had seen anything like this.

Has anyone else had any "recent" issued with warped (new) Predator shafts, especially the Z shaft? BTW, the couple STILL want the Z shafts...just a little straighter.

That's too bad, but I'm sure they will correct them. With them being so badly warped I doubt you even put them on the cues, but have you had any problems with Predator 314s matching up with other cue butts? I have a Meucci also, and fellow told me his 314 fits well except the shaft joint is a fraction larger than the butt joint and he has a very slight uneven connection. Probably not significant - just annoying. I'm really interested in a 314. Thanks.

On most Meucci cues, you can feel a slight ridge at the joint as the 314 is usually very slightly larger than the Meucci butt. I know many people who shoot with it this way and it makes no difference in the playability. The only time you notice it is when you put the cue together and break it down.
