Was it a mistake to get a unilock playing cue? It keeps making a rattling noise whenever there is vibration.

I unscrewed the bumper but for some reason I don’t see a weight bolt. It’s just empty space. Also I have no idea why my reply here is in bold lol.
The weight bolt in these would just look like a flat metal plate with two holes in it is believe. It might be hard to see or it might not have one.

I managed to find the type of flashlight that allows me to see in there. At the end I see something that I think is metallic, but it doesn’t have any notches for a tool to latch onto. It appears to be flat. Does this mean my cue came without a weight bolt? It’s one of the lighter ones. I think my cue was 18.4 or 18.6 ounces.

Mine is 19.0 and it has one. Never took the screw out so i dont know whats underneath.
Might be you have no screw, but dont know.

Rub a bar of hard soap on the threads. Leave the soap residue on and screw it together. If it had a weight bolt , I would put the soap on it also. Also, it is an easy way to tighten up joints on an old cue.

Or as a old cowboy taught me as a young kid take your thumb and fore finger and gently squeeze your nose starting at the top bringing it down to get the oil off your own nose then wipe it off onto the joint pin then put the cue together it worked on the joints on my fishing pole as a kid it works on my predator cues as a old guy ha ha !

My dad, who died at 95 in 1988, was a lifelong proponent of "nose lube". Saw him grease, oil, polish all sorts of things over the years.
