at the local poolroom they have 4 brunswick metros ...... the pocket r huge but cut very wierd .... and the shelf is tighter than the opening any way to make this ... balls will just shoot out of the pockets

simple ...get a good table mechanic to fix the errors of the prior table mechanic. sounds like you'll probably need new cushions, new facings and may have to recalibrate the subrails ....you may also need some subrail extensions if you want to tighten the pockets and don't end up having to do the recalibration.
if the prior mechanic did this recently then have him come out and fix the problems ....
all tables are cut with the width at the points wider than at the edge pf the slate shelf that is correct.
